Design Stages
Concept Design
The Concept Design stage covers site measuring and survey works, space planning, preliminary concept designs and working through budgets with the Contractors to achieve the final Design layout.
Developed Design
The Developed Design stage covers drawings and documentation for Council lodgement, including Floor plans, Electrical, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Finishes, Joinery and Elevations and specifications for pricing and construction along with schedule of finishes, materials and fixtures.

Design management encompasses the ongoing processes, business decisions, and strategies that enable innovation and create effectively-designed interior environments, and that enhance our quality of life and provide organizational success.
Rebecca Hale - Design Director
Director Rebecca Hale has over 20 years experience as a qualified Interior Designer and has previously worked for 3 of New Zealand's leading design firms spanning the Commercial, Retail and Hospitality disciplines. Since leaving the role of Associate Director at Exception Interiors early in 2009 Rebecca formed Hale Design to continue providing Design and Management services to existing clients along with establishing new clients throughout the years.
Rebecca's goal has always been to provide the right environment to help attract and retail staff, increase productivity, or gain customers. By understanding the clients individual needs and requirements a design solution can be provided that is both practical and stylish.

Hale Design Ltd established in 2009 is a professional New Zealand Design and Management practice dedicated to providing creative design solutions for your commercial interior environments.
Hale Design Ltd works with a network of Fire Engineers, Structural Engineers, Air Conditioning Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Main Contractors, Joiners and sub-contractors to allow the project to flow seamlessly from Concept through to Completion.
We will work with you on a specific stage of your project or from the initial space plan right through to the completion of your fit-out.

Rebecca Hale has worked on hundreds of fit-outs throughout New Zealand over her 20+ years in the Interior Design Industry starting from her first projects; Finz restaurant (now Sole bar), Cafe Francais and Grand Harbour Restaurant, located at the Auckland Viaduct Harbour redevelopment in 1999 leading up the our successful defense of the Americas cup in 2000 to currently designing a new medical facility in Warkworth that includes Doctors surgeries, Radiology and Physiotherapy facilities along with Dental and Physiology practice. Rebecca has dealt with every Council in New Zealand and is looking forward to many more design projects in the future.
Rebecca has been involved with a variety of fit-outs since Hale Design was formed including Walker & Hall and Pandora Airside at Auckland International Airport, multiple fashion stores throughout New Zealand, Valley Girl, Paper scissors, Temt and Chiccabooti. Office fit-outs nationwide for The Ministry of Justice's Legal Services, The Electrical Company offices and training facilities, multiple projects at The Ports of Auckland. Retail fit-outs for Animates including Vet practices nationwide and consulting with Bunnings to obtain Racking consents to name a few.
As Associate Director of Exception Interiors Rebecca completed fit-outs for MYOB, SMC Pheumatics, Adidas Retail store in Newmarket along with Adidas head office in Mt Wellington, Stryker NZ, Menzies Aviation and DHL both located at Auckland Airport.
Prior to Exception Interiors Rebecca worked on multiple fit-outs including Lakes Resort Pauanui, Esquires Coffee Nationwide, The Homestore, Robert Harris Nationwide, Janes Daniels fashion stores, Bay Audiology, H&J Smith Department sore In Invercargill, Grand Harbour Restaurant and Finz Restaurant to Auckland Viadulct.
